Soft Shell Chambers

Hard Shell Chambers

Lay-Down Chambers

Step 3: Understand Pressure — 1.3 ATA, 1.5 ATA, and Higher

Pressure is one of the most important variables in a hyperbaric chamber. It is measured in atmospheres absolute (ATA).

1.3 ATA — Mild Hyperbaric Chambers

Most home hyperbaric chambers operate at 1.3 ATA. This is considered a mild pressure level and is the most widely available option for home wellness use. Brands like Newtowne Hyperbarics and Summit to Sea offer well-regarded 1.3 ATA chambers.

Up to 1.5 ATA — Premium Home Chambers

Up to 2.0 ATA — Hard-Shell Chambers

Step 4: Know What Comes in a Package

A complete hyperbaric chamber system is more than just the chamber itself. Package contents vary by manufacturer and model, but a full system may include:

  • The hyperbaric chamber
  • Air compressor
  • Oxygen concentrator, when included in the bundle
  • Air cooling system or chiller, when included
  • Valves, tubing, seals, and setup accessories

If you already have a prescribing provider, they can send the prescription directly to Bradshaw Oxygen before your chamber ships. If you do not have a provider, we can connect you with a licensed telemedicine provider who can evaluate whether a prescription is appropriate for you. If approved, the prescription is sent directly to us.
