10 LPM (Liters Per Minute) oxygen concentrators deliver up to twice the continuous flow of a 5 LPM unit. That extra capacity is why they're the go-to choice for glassblowers running bigger torches, hyperbaric chamber setups, longer EWOT sessions, and breeders and industrial users who need steady oxygen all day.
A prescription (Rx) is required only for medical use. No Rx is required for nonmedical use, including glassblowing, industrial use, and EWOT.
Glassblowing & Lampworking
Larger torches and long days at the bench pull more oxygen than a 5 LPM can keep up with. A 10 LPM concentrator gives you more flow and headroom, and some models offer higher outlet pressure (see the table below). Not sure what your torch needs? Call or text Patrick and he'll help you match a concentrator to your torch and studio.
Hyperbaric Chambers
Most portable soft hyperbaric chambers are paired with a 10 LPM concentrator so you can breathe concentrated oxygen during your session. The Drive DeVilbiss 10 LPM is the unit we offer with our Newtowne chamber packages. Not every 10 LPM works with a chamber, so check the compatibility column below or ask Patrick before ordering.
EWOT (Exercise With Oxygen Therapy)
For longer or harder workouts, a 10 LPM concentrator keeps an EWOT reservoir bag filled more easily than a 5 LPM.
Dog Breeding
Breeders use 10 LPM concentrators to supply oxygen to puppy incubators and oxygen boxes, especially during busy whelping seasons when more than one litter may need support.
Jewelry & Industrial Use
Jewelers, ozone setups, and other industrial users choose 10 LPM units for steady, higher-volume oxygen. We can also slightly increase outlet pressure on many models. Talk with Patrick about your setup first.
Oxygen Facials & Spas
Most spas use a quieter 5 LPM concentrator for oxygen facials. A 10 LPM makes sense when your facial equipment calls for more than 5 LPM or you want to supply two treatment stations from one machine.

Industrial use: We can slightly increase the outlet pressure (PSI) on 5 LPM and 10 LPM oxygen concentrators for industrial applications, depending on the model and setup. Call or text Patrick at 828-380-6287 to discuss your pressure requirements before ordering.

5 LPM or 10 LPM: Which Do I Need?
A 5 LPM may be enough if you…
- Run a single smaller torch
- Do shorter, lighter EWOT sessions
- Run oxygen facials in a single treatment room
- Want a lighter, quieter machine that uses less electricity
Choose a 10 LPM if you…
- Are pairing it with a hyperbaric chamber
- Run a bigger torch or work long sessions
- Do longer or harder EWOT workouts
- Want extra capacity so you aren't maxing out the machine
Still deciding? Patrick is happy to talk it through.
